House of Representatives Committee on Housing and Urban Development under the chairmanship of Congressman Francisco “Kiko” Benitez approves House Bills 5, 66, 524, 1707, 2343, 3586, 4087 and 4159 seeking to establish an On-Site, In-City, Near Silay, or Off-City Local Government Resettlement Program for Informal Settlers.

Last June 30, 2022, Congressman Kiko Benitez filed House Bill 66 which aims to uphold the rights of the urban poor to the city, save informal settler families from being relocated to faraway relocation sites, and empower informal settler families to design themselves the development of their community through the people’s plan.
