In February 2020, during Negros Water Summit that Manong Albee Benitez and I organized, in collaboration with Governor Eugenio Jose "Bong" Lacson, we highlighted the threats to water security in Negros Occidental - depletion and pollution of our water sources, and the institutional challenges in water regulation that may result in supply disruptions or higher prices.

Yesterday, Governor Lacson and USAID launched the Provincial Integrated Water Program that demonstrates strong multi-stakeholder commitment to protecting and managing our water resources for long-term water security. Abanse Negrense! Asenso Negrosanon!
